We are seeking a skilled and experienced Oracle EBS DBA to manage, maintain, and optimize their Oracle database systems. As DBA, you will be responsible for ensuring the performance, security, and availability of Oracle databases and applications. You will work closely with the IT and development teams to provide database support, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oracle Database 19c and above, Oracle EBS Installation and Configuration (hosted in OCI): Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle databases, including patch management.
- Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize database performance to ensure systems run efficiently and meet SLAs.
- Backup and Recovery: Implement backup strategies and disaster recovery plans, including RMAN and Data Guard (manual and OCI automated) for high availability.
- Security Management: Implement database security, including user roles, permissions, and auditing to ensure data protection and compliance.
- Database Maintenance: Perform routine database maintenance tasks such as patching, updating indexes, and running diagnostics.
- Data Migration: Assist in the design and execution of database migration projects, data import/export, and schema changes – familiarity with tools like SVN, Git.
- Capacity Planning: Plan for future storage requirements based on growth projections and performance needs.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Use tools like Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), OCI monitoring tool to monitor databases, diagnose issues, and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Scripting and Automation: Develop and maintain scripts for automating repetitive DBA tasks and database monitoring.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to support SQL queries, stored procedures, and application integration with databases.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience as an Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) DBA, working with versions 19c or newer.
- Strong proficiency in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure – working knowledge of compute, VCN, subnet, peering, security lists, gateways, load balancer etc.
- Experience with but not limited to Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, and RMAN, Autonomous Datawarehouse, Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) etc.
- Proficiency in Linux, Windows environments for database administration tasks.
- Knowledge of database security (OCI security list, access control, network security group), backup strategies, and disaster recovery planning.
- Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
- Strong understanding of Oracle database architecture and storage management.
Good to have:
- Experience with AWS, Azure, hybrid cloud environments
- Knowledge of Oracle Exadata or other high-performance hardware platforms on OCI.
- Certification such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), OCI Architect.
- Experience with MySQL, NoSQL databases, or hybrid database, Apache, NodeJS, Python.
- Familiarity with DevOps and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
